Berlin 1945
Before and After:
Well 8 years have past and taken there toll on the models so in June 2007
I made the command decision to rework the diorama and so I did.. The diorama
was ripped apart and redone almost from scratch. Buildings reworked, figures added and omitted and
more details added. The original idea was kept, but modified to look more
real. Here the before and after pictures:
Work:
The building parts rearranged and glued down |
Plaster added to fill in walls and "build up" the
mounds |

A mix of sand, scale bricks, card and Ikea flower
stones is added using as much as could be saved from the original
setting. |
Everything painted |
The roof, made from the original roof , wood,
paper and plastic card. |

The main idea was keep, but the main building was
extended to accommodate the "last stand" by the mix of Germans |

A lot of detail and kit was added to the train
wagon. |
